Goju Ryu Karate
Traditionally taught in a modern way
Both of our clubs pride themselves on maintaining the traditional spirit of Goju Ryu Karate. It is through its traditional approach that Goju Ryu Karate has established its pedigree as a ‘true karate’.
However ‘traditionally taught’ does not mean ‘painfully taught’.
Goju Ryu Karate will challenge the student both physically and
mentally, but the pace of learning always rests with the student themselves. The instructors will always encourage but never force the student to advance in their capabilities.

Goju-Ryu is first and foremost a means of personal development that builds the confidence to enable someone to become an outstanding citizen. In developing the concepts of Goju-Ryu to a high degree, Master Miyagi served society by making life better for anyone who has the opportunity to train in his system.
